architecture and film

Since the 2003 show "screen[ing] architecture" held at Architekturforum Tirol, aut has been continuously collecting key films from all genres dealing with architecture, the city and design in the aut: mediatheque, with Helmut Weihsmann as a curator.

In the meantime, the collection includes over 2,000 films – from documentaries on selected architects, buildings and cities, to utopian science fiction designs from all epochs, up to cinema classics and current feature films.

Since 1994, architecture and film have been a regular topic at aut, during film evenings, film series in cooperation with Leokino Cinematograph, or at exhibitions such as "Film Foto Foto Film" (Film Photo Photo Film) held in 2014 or "Harun Farocki, Antje Ehmann: Arbeitsverhältnisse", held in 2016.
