Nicola Cani
Paris (France)
Nicola CANI, born 1984 in Sardinia (IT), lives in Paris (FR). He studied architecture in Italy and France as well as photography in Paris. Since 2011, he has been involved in a variety of urban and architectural projects in France and abroad, including public and educational buildings, social housing and agricultural landscapes.
His work is situated at the edge of photography and architecture. He is interested in the use of photography as a tool to document space through an anthropological lens. In Lower Austria, he will research the relationship between the city of Krems and the Danube as a case study on the dynamics between European cities and rivers. The idea is to start a photographic atlas as a working method to understand this area of the Danube valley.
