In UNDERNEATH: Krems beyond the visible, architect and visual artist Jelena Pejković explores the hidden layers of Krems’ urban landscape. Created during her Artist-in-Residence, the works invite viewers to look beyond the visible and discover new perspectives on architecture, history, and place.

In the exhibition Underneath: Emerging Complexities, artist and architect Jelena Pejković presents drawings and mixed-media works from the past ten years alongside new pieces created during her current ORTE residency in Krems. Through close observation of everyday architectural structures, she reveals hidden connections and unexpected layers of complexity. The exhibition invites visitors to see architecture anew—as an interplay of space, material, memory, and perception.
