BUILDINGS DATABASE

ORTE is a partner of the nextroom online buildings database and documents the regional architecture activity of Lower Austria. The ORTE team collects, prepares, and publishes superior contemporary buildings located in Austria’s largest province, and has already documented over 300 buildings. 

The nextroom archives provide a representative cross-section of Austria’s current architectural landscape and beyond. 

In order to ensure high quality, a selection jury of two members of the board that change annually, choose projects from Lower Austria. Awarded projects are exempted from the jury process and immediately entered into the database, such as award winners of the Lower Austrian Wood Building Award, Exemplary Building in Lower Austria, and many others. Planners who have submitted an architecture project that is not selected for the buildings database are provided with a written jury statement explaining the rejection.

• Plans
• Essay about the building
• Completed information sheet
